Please allow lots of time to get to the SickKids. The hospital is big and it may take you some time to find your way around.

If you Drive

Parking

SickKids has two main parking lots:An underground lot below the hospital (enter from Elm Street, between University Avenue and Elizabeth Street)

And outdoor oversized vehicle lot at the corner of Bay Street and Elm Street.These lots only accept cash!Special rates are available. For one day visits, bring your pa*your clinic to be stamped for a parent discount.For bi-weekly and monthly discounts, bring your ticket and cash or credit payment to the hospital’s Business Office.Street ParkingPlease read the street parking sign*lly if you are parking near the hospital. You are not allowed to park on any street before 9:30 in the morning and between 3:30 in the afternoon and 6:30 at night.

Please do not park in the Emergency driveway or in the driveways off Gerrard Street, Elizabeth Street, or University Avenue. Cars will be ticketed and towed away.Parking rates

If you are interested in obtaining the two week or monthly pass please bring the parking ticket to the Business Office. The Business Office is located on the main floor of the hospital, next to the Shoppers Drug Mart. The office hours are from 8 in the morning until 4 at night.

The parking ticket will now be programmed for either two weeks or one month, whichever is purchased.This ticket can now be used as a parking passEnter and exit the parking garage, using this parking ticketInsert the parking ticket into the monthly card scanner, located at the parking garage entrance aacing up.

Your programmed ticket will only let you out if it was scanned on the way in. Do not take a new parking ticket from the ticket dispenser upon entering. Common parking-related questionsWhat if I lose my programmed parking ticket?If you lose your programmed parking ticket, please take a new ticket from the dispenser and visit the Business Office to have the new ticket programmed. Please keep your original receipt for proof of purchase.

What if I forget my programmed parking ticket?If this occurs, please take a ticket from the dispenser upon entry. Please get your ticket stamped at the unit your child is staying in, present your ticket to the parking attendant and pay the parent daily fee rate. Obtain a receipt and bring it to the Property Management office to receive a refund. The Property Management office is located at 77 Elm Street, suite 101. Hours are from 8 in the morning until 4 at night.

If you take public transportation

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) has parking lots, called Park and Ride, at these subway stations: Kipling, Islington, Keele, Kennedy, Warden, Victoria Park, Finch, York Mills, Wilson, and Yorkdale.

Security

The hospital’s Protection Services department has a 24-hour phone line at (416) 813-7122. You can call this number if you would like someone to walk with you to your car or the subway. There may be a short wait while this is arranged.

For your protection, leave items of value and large amounts of cash at home, or keep them with you at all times. The hospital is not responsible for lost or stolen personal items.
