The Research Institute at The Hospital for Sick Children conducts research activities coordinated under seven major research programs that undertake internationally competitive research and training in areas of research relevant to child health in its broadest sense. Institute scientists are also key leaders and players in Hospital-wide interdisciplinary centres that focus on specific key problems in childhood health and disease.
Healthwatch for Children Program
The Hospital for Sick Children and Shoppers Drug Mart support the HEALTHWATCH for Children program. Supported by Sick Kids physicians and staff, child health information kiosks are in all of Shoppers Drug Mart’s 800 stores across Canada.
Brochures are available covering nutrition/food, infectious diseases, safety, skin care and general health for prenatal, infant, toddler and child age groups. A sample of these brochures are included here. Copies of all brochures can be picked up at any Canadian Shoppers Drug Mart or on their Web site . The Canadian Paediatric Society is also a campaign partner.
